The Mercury Dime is the follow up dime to the Barber Dime when it was discontinued. The majority of the Mercury dimes can be found in mint condition although not all of them are. Those that are not are usually found in excellent condition considering that they were all made in the 20th century. There are some Mercury dimes that have been carefully sealed as to protect the condition of the dime while others are placed in collector’s boxes to keep them safe.
These Mercury dimes are made out of silver. There are other silver dimes that are available such as the Bust and Barber dimes.
