There are plenty of knockoff Bob Marley reggae items, but authentic items are rarely available. Perhaps this is because they have either been collected into museums like the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame or the Bob Marley Foundation. Also, reggae artists tend to remain in Jamaica rather than in the centers of the music business like New York or LA. Thus reggae artifacts remain in Jamaica rather than in the hands of collectors.

 

If you can afford it, buy whatever reggae memorabilia you can find, it is guaranteed to appreciate in value. This includes Marley and his inner circle, including music artists and even stuff by Marley’s art director, Neville Garrick. Few reggae stars are known except to enthusiasts of the genre, thus anything significant enough to be valuable tends to get grabbed by museums. They will, however, eventually appreciate, and posters, especially for Jamaican or British concerts are quite popular. Presently, though, reggae is a market for collectors rather than investors except for Bob Marley and Marley-related reggae memorabilia.
