Classical, Opera, Ballet Music Memorabilia Entertainment Memorabilia
Classical music, opera and ballet have been around for centuries, and many items are in museums and are beyond the scope of private collectors. However, there are still many options worth investigating, especially where composers or performers from the twentieth century are involved. Classical music has a rich history, deeply intertwined with the history of Europe, all the way back to Bach.Discount & Bargain
If you are interested in older composers, such as those who lived and worked before the twentieth century, it will be tough to find items you can afford unless you are very rich. There are some items of interest that might occasionally be available, however. One of the most interesting classes of classical music memorabilia are the busts of great composers that were made in significant quantities in the 1800s. They were little statuettes, bust head neck and shoulders only, depicting the icons of music from the day, composers like Chopin or Beethoven and performers like Paganini. Many of these classical music figures had colorful, anecdote-rich lives, such as Paganini, who was alleged to have gained his phenomenal talent by selling his soul to the devil.
Ballet and opera have their own iconic figures. These forms are of more recent vintage, and there is more of an emphasis on performers as stars in the world of ballet or opera, so there is perhaps a greater variety of collectables available. Ballet stars, in particular, commonly pose for publicity photos not unlike those of movie stars.
