October 2nd, 2009 — Antique Bottles, Bottles and Insulators, Collectible Bottles, Glassware
One of the most unique forms of collectibles are bottles and you’d be surprised at just how many you can find. Ranging from antiques that were produced in the 1900’s, to ones that are just rolling off the assembly line right now, collectibles bottles are a hot item and a lot of fun to collect. Whether you’re digging for them in your back yard, or buying them online, chances are you may be able to unearth an incredible deal. Let’s take a look at which kinds of collectible bottles are the most valuable.
1. Perfume Bottles
These are considered to be the best kind of collectible bottles, due to the fact that they are usually designed well, will hold up to age, and come in so many different shapes and sizes. From just old bottles that weathered the years well, to special editions from perfume companies, thousands of people collect perfume bottles. If you can find a rare one that still has the perfume inside, you’ve got a great deal.
2. Milk Bottles
The next most popular form of collectible bottles are milk bottles. Many of these will still have the original dairy label or embossing on the bottle itself. These are a lot of fun to collect, especially if you try to see just how many different dairies you can round up for your collection. These are pretty common collectibles, and although they may not have a lot of intrinsic value, they do make for great conversation pieces and look nice when displayed.
3. Sanctuary Lights
These collectible bottles are a little more rare, but with some searching you can find them. These are bigger than votive lights and are usually made to hold candles that are about eight inches high. They are classed under collectible bottles by many, but you’ll also find those that prefer to have them in a different category. Root beer sanctuary lights are a very rare form of this collectible that has become very popular in recent years.
4. Colored Bottles
These are the rarest form of collectible bottle, especially if you are dealing with vintage ones. They will usually have a slight shading of color to them, and they may be a bit faded, depending on how old they are, and where they were stored. These are very fun to collect, simply because they are so scarce and whenever you stumble across one it’s always cause for celebration.
When it comes to collectible bottles, it’s a good idea to focus on the ones that were made before the 1900’s, especially if you are looking for some that will be quite valuable. However, there are many forms of collectible bottles and each one may have a different overall value. Try to see just how many different collectible bottles you can come across and start building your selection today.
A great place to find new pieces for your collection is at a flea market, a second hand store, or even online at auctions.

Valuable items like antiques, collectibles and rare heirloom objects are a very important part of our culture in our country. They are the same for other countries and cultures as well. Because of the influx of technology, these valuable items are often overlooked, but as a result of the ability to find collectibles online, what’s new and what’s old can now be combined for a new effect.
These collectibles and valuables are constantly being looked for by people that understand what they are worth and value them as a result. Many people look at them as a very important part of a family and the story that those family members have to tell as well as the lifestyle that they are attempting to project. If you want to buy and sell collectibles, this is certainly an outstanding way for you to do it. There are a number of benefits that you can derive from using online auction websites, so don’t be afraid to get online and to see what websites like eBay and other online auction websites have to offer. There are all kinds of different collectibles out there, including rare collectibles and more common collectibles for example. If you are interested in collecting rare collectibles, then knowing how to identify them, find them, price them, display them and sell them are all very important considerations to make. Here is a basic guide to collecting rare collectibles and the least that you need to know when it comes to getting the most that you can out of this collecting hobby and the rare collectibles and antiques that you buy and sell.
Rare collectibles are items that are difficult to find, and as a result are generally worth more on the behalf of their desirability as well as their rarity. Any item that has a particular quality behind its craftsmanship, is relatively old in nature and also sports features reflecting the past are all considered to be rare collectibles by a wide variety of today’s collectors.
One common denominator of all of these items is that they are considered to be rare collectibles despite their age or what they are. Many rare collectibles have become so old that they are perceived to be antiques as well as rare collectibles. It is also possible for rare collectibles to be more recent in origin, such as when it comes to collectible toils, sports memorabilia and so on and so forth. Due to the appeal and the scarcity of rare collectibles, these collectibles, despite not being antiques, are still quite valuable. No matter what their value is, rare collectibles can be vitally essential to certain collections and certain collectors.
There is no real definitive definition that goes with the concept of rare collectibles, meaning that a rare collectible to one person may not be a rare collectible to another person. The concept of collectibles has two different definitions depending on if you are looking to make money on your collection or just to collect for personal value. Understanding how the concept of rare collectibles works really makes a difference depending on how you intend to collect items that are rare. The item must not only be rare, but to someone it must be considered to be collectible or otherwise worth collecting as well.
There is no one single place where these rare collectibles come from, nor is there a single time frame where they hail from. There is no one single category of rare collectibles, because rare collectibles can be found in all types of collections, including stamp collections, antique collections, memorabilia collections and so much more. Rare collectibles may be rare ornate vases from a Chinese dynasty long past, or an autographed football from a deceased star. Rare collectibles encompass tiny limited edition stamps and rare minted but unreleased coins. Rare collectibles are really all about what you make them, and what you make out of them, so let your rare collectibles and rare collection be anything that you want for it to be.
