I drink a bottle of wine every 3rd day. That works out to 122 bottles/year. But I fill the 750ml bottle from a 5L box. So that makes 18.25 boxes/year, @ $16/box = $292/year (.80c/day).
I am not sure if one bottle of wine, all at the one sitting, every third day, is good or bad for your health. But if booze doesn't kill you something else will!
I am in the US and our governement is silent on how much booze is good for you. However the UK govt recommends 21 units of alcohol per week for a large adult male, where 1 unit = 10 ml of pure ethynol (Google it!).
Now, 1 bottle of wine every 3rd day is 2.33 bottles per week = 1750 ml, and at 12% ABV that is 210ml of pure alcohol. Which is 21 UK units of alcohol EXACTLY!!
What I am saying is: staying healthy doesn't have to be expensive!
